Privacy Policy

Welcome to Outright Mental (“Outright Mental”, “we”, “our”, or “us”).

Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, store, use and disclose your information when you visit outrightmental.com (the “Website”) and use our related digital products, including games and applications (our “Products”).

Our principles

We have a straightforward approach to data protection and privacy:

We value clarity over complexity

We believe you should know exactly what we do with your information. If anything in this Privacy Policy is unclear, please email us at legal@outrightmental.com.

We collect only what we need

We minimize data collection. We do not require accounts, subscriptions, or personal information to visit this Website.

Information we collect

Website visitors

When you visit our Website, we may automatically collect:

  • Technical data: IP address, browser type, operating system, and device information
  • Usage data: Pages visited, time spent on pages, and navigation paths
  • Referral data: The site you visited before arriving here

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors interact with our Website. This helps us improve the site. You can opt out of Google Analytics by using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

Email correspondence

If you contact us via email, we will collect the information you provide (such as your email address and message content) to respond to your inquiry.

Service intake forms

If you use one of our service intake forms (the configurators on our services pages or the contact page), we collect the details you choose to enter — your name, email address, and the project information you provide — so we can respond, usually within two business days. We ask only for what we need to reply, and the forms add no advertising or third-party tracking. Depending on our setup, a submission reaches us either directly by email or through a privacy-respecting form provider acting as our processor (comparable to how AWS handles our newsletter); such a provider does not use your information for its own purposes. If you prefer not to use a form, you can always email us directly.

Email newsletter (The Dispatch)

If you subscribe to The Dispatch, our occasional studio newsletter, we collect your email address to send it to you. You subscribe through the form on our site, and we add your address only after you click the confirmation link we email you — so the list only ever contains addresses that asked to be added, and then confirmed it.

  • We do not use a third-party email newsletter service. The subscribe form posts to our own subscription service, running in our own Amazon Web Services (AWS) account, and we keep the list ourselves; AWS is the underlying infrastructure and handles delivery on our behalf under its own privacy notice, and does not use the list for its own purposes.
  • We do not add tracking pixels, and we do not use the list for targeted advertising or share it with third parties for their marketing.
  • You can unsubscribe at any time with the one-click unsubscribe link in every dispatch (replying “stop” still works too); your address is marked unsubscribed immediately.

Our games and applications

Each Outright Mental game or application may have different data practices depending on its features. Currently:

Star Harvester (mobile/digital board game)

  • The app does not collect personal data
  • No account registration is required
  • No data is shared with third parties

If our data practices for any product differ from the above, we will provide a separate, product-specific privacy notice.
