Net2S Group

Print Advertisement

Net2S was a French-founded IT consultancy specializing in the technology of the financial markets — the unglamorous, load-bearing systems where the money actually lives. For its New York presence it needed a full-page print advertisement that could say security to a reader who signs off on trading infrastructure, without resorting to the era’s stock clichés of padlocks and hooded figures.

The answer: put the two worlds in one hinge. A massive bank-vault door — machined steel, spoked bolt-work, engineered to be photographed — swings open directly onto a printed circuit board, its traces running out of the vault and across the page in the brand’s red, blue, and yellow. The metaphor does the whole sales call: your capital used to live behind steel; now it lives on silicon; hire the people who treat the second with the seriousness of the first.

TEARSHEET · NET2S GROUP
Format: full-page magazine advertisement.
Headline: SECURE WHAT MATTERS. DEFEND WHAT'S NEXT.
Visual: vault door opening onto circuitry; brand-color traces carrying the eye from steel to silicon to the logotype.
Reads as: engineering, not fear. The vault is open because the client is inside the security, not locked out of it.

Epilogue

The pitch aged accurately: financial-markets technology kept eating the vault, and Net2S itself was acquired by BT to anchor its financial-services consulting arm — the fate of every boutique that turns out to be standing where the industry is headed.

A commission like this is craft in a suit, per the manifesto’s register — one image, one argument, no decoration that isn’t doing work. The client buys the page; the discipline stays in the portfolio.
