Personal Website

The studio’s founder finally built himself the website he’d build for a client: one page that answers who is this, what does he do, and how do I reach him before the first scroll — live at nickcharneykaye.com.

It opens with an epigraph instead of a pitch:

“The world is full of fascinating problems waiting to be solved.” — The Hacker Attitude

That’s the same essay the studio manifesto plants its flag on — we’re hackers — quoted here at the top of the professional surface, because the professional surface and the studio are the same person.

What’s on the page

SITE MAP · ONE SCREEN
Identity: the golden-spiral mark from the 2026 card, construction lines and all — one system across print and web.
The bill: Interactive Entertainment — a life of building interactive media, hard skills from typography to C++, leadership honed across hundreds of projects.
Current hats: Game Director of Fever Tilt and Conversation Simulator at this studio; inventor of XJ music; Program Technical Lead for FIFA World Cup ’26 incident response at TKO.
Contact: résumé download, phone, email, PGP — the encrypted door is a first-class citizen, not a footnote — plus LinkedIn, GitHub, and X.
The ask: one button. Schedule a consultation.

Craft notes

The design bet is restraint: white field, one serif, one photograph, the spiral doing quiet duty as both logo and layout grid. Where the studio’s own site wears the Mental Roger flag, the personal site wears the construction lines — defiance and discipline, the two registers of the same practice. Nothing animates, nothing chases you, and the highest-contrast object on the page is the one thing the visitor is there to do.

Being fully present with one thing at a time, per the manifesto — applied to a homepage. One screen, one epigraph, one button. The rest is résumé.
